Malingunde Graphite Project

The Malingunde Graphite Project is a proposed open pit graphite mine in the Lilongwe District in Malawi, located approximately 20 km southwest of the city of Lilongwe.

The Project includes an on-site processing plant using a froth flotation process to produce graphite concentrate, which will be bagged and transported to Lilongwe and then to Mozambique for shipment to overseas markets. The Project is expected to have an initial life-of-mine of 15 years and will produce approximately 52,000 t of graphite concentrate from 600,000 t of ore per year and 830,000 t of concentrate over the life-of-mine.
